Returns
All returns must be within 30 days of the date on the sales receipt.
If you desire a return, send us an email with the subject "RMA Needed" to accounting@ficmrepair.com to get a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number and then ship the parts back to us. You are responsible for return shipping costs.
Note that there are no refunds on shipping and handling charges and there is a 20% restocking fee of the part price(s) on returns of all parts other than FICM's. Non-FICM parts such as electronic modules (ECM, PCM, TCM, GPCM, GEM, etc.), monitors, programmers, starters, alternators, radiators, suspension kits, etc) are returnable only if never installed and, in some cases, only if unopened. If evidence of installation is found, no credit will be given.
Some special order items are not eligible for return at all. Note that items need to be complete, unopened, and in the precise condition they were received in to be eligible for return credit - no one wants to receive a part from us that has been opened or that has dirt and grime all over it!
FICM's, as an electronic part, are subject to the greater of 20% restocking fee or $75 if never installed.
Once installed, the FICM you purchase is not able to be returned. If evidence of installation is found, no credit will be given. It is each customer's responsibility to ensure that the issue with their truck is the module. We are not in any way responsible for incorrect diagnosis under any circumstances.
As with other returns, FICM's need to be returned in the same condition that they were sent in. If a module comes back dirty, with broken connectors due to shipping damage, etc, partial credit may be offered, but again this is on a case by case basis and at our sole discretion.
If a returned item is found to be NOT eligible for satisfactory-to-you return credit upon receipt, it can be shipped back to you, but at your expense. Some parts may be eligible for partial credit, but this is on a case by case basis and at our sole discretion.
Regardless, obtaining a Return Material Authorization number is critical for any return.
Warranty Policy Coverage
This warranty applies to all parts and labor supplied by us. We warrant that our services, parts, and labor will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service for the following periods unless otherwise expressly stated in writing:
Engine Work: 12 months or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first, from the date of service completion.
Parts: 24 months or 24,000 miles, whichever comes first, for new parts, and 6 months or 6,000 miles for remanufactured or used parts, from the date of purchase or installation.
Warranty Terms
Repairs or Replacement: If a defect in our workmanship or a supplied part is identified within the warranty period, FICMRepair.com will, at our discretion, repair or replace the defective part or redo the service at no additional cost to the customer, provided the issue is reported promptly and the vehicle or part is returned to our facility. The cost of transport and return is outside the scope of this policy and will remain the obligation of the consumer.
Proof of Service: Customers must present the original service invoice or receipt to claim warranty service.
Authorized Service: Warranty repairs or replacements must be performed by FICMRepair.com or an authorized representative. Unauthorized repairs or modifications will void this warranty.
Transferability: This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original customer and vehicle for which the service or part was provided.
Exclusions and Voided Warranty
This warranty does not cover, and will be voided under, the following conditions:
Consumer Mistreatment or Abuse: Any damage or failure resulting from improper handling, neglect, or intentional misuse of the engine or parts, including but not limited to improper maintenance, use of incorrect fluids or fuels, or operation under extreme conditions not recommended by the manufacturer.
Overheating: Damage caused by overheating for ANY reason. Common reasons for overheating include failure to maintain proper coolant levels, ignoring warning indicators, or operating the vehicle under conditions leading to excessive heat (e.g., prolonged high-load operation without adequate cooling). We recommend the addition of monitoring gauges in addition to those supplied by the engine manufacturer.
Modifications: Any aftermarket modifications, including performance enhancements, non-OEM parts, or alterations to the engine or related systems, that affect the performance or integrity of the warranted work or parts.
Negligence or Accidents: Damage resulting from accidents, collisions, vandalism, or failure to follow manufacturer-recommended maintenance schedules.
Improper Installation: Issues arising from installation of parts by anyone other than FICMRepair.com or an authorized representative.
Normal Wear and Tear: Components subject to normal wear, such as gaskets, seals, or bearings, unless the failure is directly due to defective workmanship or materials.
External Factors: Damage caused by environmental factors, such as flooding, fire, or contamination, or by external systems not serviced by FICMRepair.com.
